1. Are we Registered?
International ITEC Accredited (the only one in QLD!)
Industry Accreditation
The Acadmey was granted International Accreditation by ITEC. This means that training you receive at the College is at an International level. We now offer the ITEC International as it will give the therapist more options later on in life and if they want to enjoy other therapies as well. The ITEC diplomas you receive upon graduating and completing the examinations will open the door for you to give you the opportunity to work in Spas, Salons and cruise liners around the world.
2. Why should I study at The Academy?
The previous owner established a high level of teaching and The Academy is continuing with this. We have established the highest and finest educational opportunity in the beauty industry within a friendly, caring atmosphere to ensure the learning process is not only beneficial but also enjoyable. We are committed not only to providing our students with the high standard of expertise required in this developing industry but also to the continued success of our graduates.
We offer a wide range of courses suitable for those wishing to embark on a career in the beauty industry as well as those already in the industry who wish to improve their skills.
We have modern facilities offering the most up to date training and a specially designed Wet Room for Day Spa Training.
3. Are there any pre-requisites to study?
The only requirement to study at the college is Year 10 literacy and numeracy skills.
4. Will I be qualified upon completion of the course?
Yes. Upon successful completion of your course you will receive an ITEC qualification. Because our training is of the highest standard you feel ready to open your doors and start a career at the top.
5. Can I take my qualification overseas?
Once completed, you will hold your ITEC Diplomas which are recognised in 33 countries as the highest standard.
6. Am I guaranteed a job at completion of my course?
We are always being asked for our students as they are regarded the best on the Sunshine Coast so will assist enrolled and graduating students to find jobs and work experience. As the college has a strong reputation within the Industry and we are constantly receiving calls from salons asking for students and graduates we pass this on to you. Currently all our Beauty Therapy graduates are working within or have started their own salon or spa. We help you to learn about running your own salon or spa and our in-house salon give you experience before you go out to work in the industry - that means you have confidence to work on clients
7. What do I get for the cost of the course?
Although the cost varies for each course the total cost of a course is broken down into three sections, Enrolment Fee, Student Kit and Course Fee. The cost of the course can be paid in installments and only the enrolment fee needs to be paid up front. A full breakdown of course costs can be found here.
8. Will I get support from the trainers if I need it?
Absolutely! As soon as you enroll this process will start. We will try and make the learning process as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. As learning may not always be an easy process we will assist you throughout the whole course. Have a question? Ask. Need help with an assignment or study tips? We will try and work out a suitable solution for your needs. We care about your education and welfare. We want you to be as educated and successful in the beauty industry as possible!
