1. Are we Registered?
Yes. We are Queensland Department of Employment and Training Registered and even better, International CIDESCO Accredited (the only one in QLD!)
We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) No. 1491 and all our Certificate and Diploma courses offered at the college are Nationally Recognised and are taught from the National Beauty Training Package offering Nationally Recognised Training.
Industry Accreditation
I.C.E was granted International Accreditation with CIDESCO. Our CIDESCO registration number is AU336. This means that training you receive at the College is at an International level. The CIDESCO diploma you receive upon graduating will open the door for you to give you the opportunity to work in Spas, Salons and cruise liners around the world.
2. Why should I study at I.C.E?
I.C.E has been established to provide the highest and finest educational opportunity in the beauty industry within a friendly, caring atmosphere to ensure the learning process is not only beneficial but also enjoyable. We are committed not only to providing our students with the high standard of expertise required in this developing industry but also to the continued success of our graduates.
We offer a wide range of courses suitable for those wishing to embark on a career in the beauty industry as well as those already in the industry who wish to improve their skills.
We have modern facilities offering the most up to date training and a specially designed Wet Room for Day Spa Training.
3. Are there any pre-requisites to study? The only requirement to study at the college is Year 10 literacy and numeracy skills.
4. Will I be qualified upon completion of the course?
Yes. Upon completion of your course you will receive either a Statement of Attainment, Certificate or Diploma that is Nationally Recognised stating your relevant Qualification. If you complete a Statement of Attainment you can use the modules completed towards a Certificate IV or Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
5. Is my qualification recognised nationally?
Yes. The qualification you complete and receive at I.C.E. is taught from the National Beauty Training Package and is part of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). This means that your qualification will be recognised around Australia.
6. Can I take my qualification overseas?
Yes! If you enrol to study the Diploma of Beauty Therapy with us, you will also undertake the CIDESCO Exams. Once completed, you will hold your CIDESCO Diploma which is recognised in 100's of countries as the highest standard.
7. Am I guaranteed a job at completion of my course?
I.C.E will assist enrolled and graduating students find jobs and work experience. The college has a strong reputation within the Industry and we are constantly receiving calls from salons asking for students and graduates. Currently all our Beauty Therapy graduates are working within or have started their own salon or spa.
8. Can I get assistance from the government to study?
Yes. All full-time Certificate/Diploma Courses are Austudy/Youth Allowance Approved which means that depending on your financial situation you may be eligible for government assistance including student loans. For more information contact Centrelink or Youth Allowance on 132 490. The Commonwealth Bank and NAB also offer student type loans. Contact their central numbers for information.
9. What do I get for the cost of the course?
Although the cost varies for each course the total cost of a course is broken down into three sections, Enrolment Fee, Student Kit and Course Fee. The cost of the course can be paid in installments and only the enrolment fee needs to be paid up front. A full breakdown of course costs can be found here.
10. Will I get support from the trainers if I need it?
Absolutely! As soon as you enroll this process will start. We will try and make the learning process as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. As learning may not always be an easy process we will assist you throughout the whole course. Have a question? Ask. Need help with an assignment or study tips? We will try and work out a suitable solution for your needs. We care about your education and welfare. We want you to be as educated and successful in the beauty industry as possible!
