Student Success Stories
The College is constantly in touch with salons, health spas and other related beauty and health companies locally, nationally and internationally and is well aware of the changing needs of employers.
We have had, year in and year out, a 100% success rate with for our students who have asked for our help post their studies. We will do everything we can to ensure enrolled and graduating students find suitable work experience whilst enrolled and jobs once graduated.
Our graduating students are working in some of the finest salons, spas, cruise liners and more in the world. Here are just a few of our success stories...

I asked for some help to write my resume and a letter as I wanted to work in one of the top Spas here in Australia. I am still young so didn't think I stood a chance but not only did I get my application accepted I also got an Interview and got the job. I couldn't have done it without the help of the College after I left so thank you.
"I really believe that it gave me a good stepping stone. The day after I graduated I started my own salon. From operating within the industry for a couple of years now, I can see that the College's standards are extremely high and that the course is very thorough indeed."
- Cath Cole, Owner of Studio Suave, Coolum which was awarded best new establishment and 'Clients Choice' at the Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia (APAA) national 2005 awards ceremony.
I didn't know what I wanted to do, I didn't think about beauty until they said use it as a stepping stone. I worked for three years then plucked up the courage to do what I really wanted. I am now training to be a midwife but am finding it easy thanks to the training at this college. Jess, 24 years old.
I am working with Dermal Doctors and they are sending me on courses so that I am help with the procedures and in a couple of years I want to train so I can open my own cosmetic surgery salon. I know I can do this now as I have confidence in my training. Anna, 22 years old
"I found the course very interesting and professional; and it fully prepared me for the workforce. Immediately after graduating (class of 2000) I secured a position as Manager of a salon in Noosa. I then completed a Paramedical Aesthetics course and worked in this area. I am now living in Byron Bay managing a luxury B & B, Seaview House, where we offer Beauty Therapy treatments to enhance our guests stay."
- Amanda Kaye, 48 yrs

"As a single mother of three children, I was looking for something that I could achieve in a short period of time that would put me back into the work force after not working for 10 years. The College brings the industry into the correct century and as a mother I love working within the industry - I can work the hours I choose."
- Debbie Hall, 47 years, now working as therapist at Hoi Polloi a beauty centre in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast.
"loved my time there and I came out so prepared. It was a fun, practical environment with lots of hands on, which for me, was the best way to learn. The staff were really supportive and it left me feeling really confident."
- Amy Michielson, 21yrs, who travelled from NSW to do the course and has since set up her own beauty salon which operates during the ski season at Jindabyne, NSW (the Snowy Mountains). During the off-season she is employed by a beauty salon as a beauty therapist.
"I really enjoyed the professional training - I thought it was the best part of it all. When I went out into the workforce there were lots of 'oh that's why we learnt that' moments. I did my CIDESCO too which gives me the option to travel overseas with my skills. I always recommend people go there."
- Karen Sweeney, 25 years, who works at the Ikatan Balinese Spa and Gardens and Riverside Beauty as a beauty therapist.
"I had already been working within the industry for six months when I started at the College but I was looking to get the theory and credentials behind me to move forward in my career. The course certainly helped me diversify into other areas of beauty therapy and now I've got the piece of paper i.e. the qualification to move ahead with confidence."
- India Hornibrook, 23yrs, Beauty Therapist/Salon Manager, Linda's on Buderim for five years.
